VALUE
This is a picture of the sunset at the beach. It shows the element of value because it's dark toward the sides of the picture and as you work your way towards the middle, you see the sunlight shining down onto the water. I edited the photograph by increasing the contrast, exposure, highlights, shadows, saturation, vibrance, and tint. I also turned down the temperature a little bit.
TEXTURE
This is a picture of a rock up close. It shows the element of texture because you can see the grain, which gives a rough texture, as well as some moss on certain spots, which may feel smoother than other parts of the rock. I emphasized the texture by decreasing the exposure, highlights, and shadows as well as increasing the contrast and whites of the photo. I also increased the texture and clarity of the photo.
SHAPE
This is a picture of some rocks on a trail by the beach. It shows the element of shape because each rock has their own unique shape; all of them are different from each other. I edited this photograph by changing it to black and white, turning down the exposure, and increasing the contrast. To bring more light towards the center of the photo, I turned down the vignette to make the outer edges darker.
SPACE
This is a picture of my cousin watching the sunset at the beach. It shows the element of space because I have my cousin sitting alone with nothing else surrounding her but the ocean and the sun. I edited this photograph by turning down the exposure and increasing the contrast, highlights, shadows, and tint. I also decreased the vignette, giving the picture darker edges.
LINE
This is a picture of a bench by the ocean. It shows the element of line because the bench is made of different planks of wood that have lines of spaces in between each plank. I edited this photograph by turning down the exposure and increasing the contrast, highlights, and clarity of the photo.
COLOR
This is a picture of some nail swatch sticks with different color nail polishes on each one. This shows the element of color because there are many different colors of nail polish in the picture. I edited this photograph by turning down the shadows and blacks of the photo as well as increasing the exposure contrast, highlights, vibrance, and saturation.
