The emotion I expressed in my portrait is joy/happiness. To create this portrait, I photographed my baby cousin because he is such a happy baby. I positioned him to sit on the chair and I let him move as he pleased. I made funny faces and funny noises to make him smile and laugh and this was the outcome. I used butterfly lighting to really emphasize his cute face. I edited the image by making his face a little brighter and retouching his face just a little bit. I also added a vignette to brighten up his face even more and truly make him stick out. Overall I think my portrait was a success because the way I did the lighting and the way I positioned him gave me the cutest portrait; I also captured the purest smile on his face. Next time I might switch up the angle of the photos just to get more perspective options.
